Campaign format is the longest type of game. It consists of two stages: the first stage is Standard play format (minus the Boneyard win condition), and the second stage is Tactical play format until a player emerges with only 1 unit as the last man standing.
STAGE 1
In Stage 1, the goal is to push as many units as possible through the Dreadgate, as these will be the only units you can use in Stage 2. Once one player puts 30 Vitality into the Dreadgate, each player takes only the units they got through the Dreadgate with them to the second round. All other units are removed from the deck and players begin Stage 2. The Dreadgate is removed in Stage 2.
STAGE 2
Each player can only use the units they got through the Dreadgate in Stage 1. The player who kills all of their opponent’s units is the winner. If a situation happens where only two units remain, and both die during the same interaction, the last unit to die is the winner (one will lose all their Vitality first, etc.).
In a tournament, all contestants play Standard format until the final championship match. The two players in the final match play Campaign mode to determine the tournament winner.
